Phase 2 for the Re-Centre Pilot Project

The Re-Centre pilot project is now entering Phase 2. Encorp Atlantic is collaborating with a local redemption centre, Valley Redemption Centre, to see how well the Re-Centre model performs in a real-time redemption centre environment, collect missing data and fine-tune some of its components.

Location Change

The Re-Centre depot currently located on Killam Drive has moved to 323 Collishaw Street in Moncton. This is one of Valley Redemption Centre‘s sites. The Re-Centre depot is located on the premises.

The Re-Centre depot on Mountain Road will remain at its current location (557 Mountain Road, Monctonand continue to accept used beverage containers, cardboard, and e-waste.

All Re-Centre members can keep using the Re-Centre depots. Both depots will keep the same hours of operation: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Re-Centre bags are longer be available at Ayer Convenience Store. Re-Centre members can now stock up on Re-Centre bags at Canadian Tire Gas+ Station located at 650 Mountain Road in Moncton as well as the Valley Redemption Centre located at 323 Collishaw Street in Moncton.

Re-Centre Accounts and Member Services

Note that the location change will not affect the recycling services that Re-Centre has been offering its pilot project participants.

Valley Redemption Centre is now responsible for daily operations of the two Re-Centre depots. This means overseeing that the two depots run smoothly, by collecting, transporting, sorting and counting the containers that are dropped off, inputting data into our system and taking care of maintaining both sites and all equipment.

Encorp Atlantic – which initiated the Re-Centre pilot project – will keep managing communications, member services, and all Re-Centre online accounts
