To our distributors,
As you are already aware, starting April 1, 2020, changes to the Beverage Containers Program Exclusion Policy will come into effect.
These changes mean that many beverage containers that used to be excluded from the program will now be deposit-bearing.
Encorp Atlantic has prepared a visual guide to help inform our distributors as well as redemption centre staff and customers. This visual guide is being printed in a poster and brochure format and will be distributed to consumers via New Brunswick redemption centres. We encourage all distributors to print a copy and keep it as a reference.
We have also prepared a handy PDF reference tool containing examples of beverage products affected by these changes. This tool can be used to look up various products by name (using the search function in any PDF viewer/reader). We will keep updating this tool regularly If you are unsure about a certain beverage product and it is not listed in the reference tool, please contact the New Brunswick Department of Environment and Local Government for clarification (Mark Miller – Program Coordinator – 506-453-6329 – [email protected]).
These tools are available on the page Important Information for Distributors on our website: https://encorpatl.wpengine.com/distributors/info-for-distributors/.
All beverage products must be registered via the Department of Environment and Local Government. To register new beverage containers, please use this form: https://www2.gnb.ca//content/dam/gnb/Departments/env/pdf/LandWaste-TerreDechets/BeverageContainerRegistrationForm.pdf.
