Squadron 333 cleanup Route 102

To learn – to serve – to advance. That is the motto of the Air Cadets of Canada. With the help of some of their commanding officers, 10 cadets from the 333 Lord Beaverbrook Air Cadet Squadron of Fredericton cleaned a 4 km portion of Route 102 in the Island View/Kingsclear region.

A litany of litter was found along that stretch including bumpers, tires, vehicle lights, a mattress along with other litter and recyclables. All told, 22 extra large waste bags were filled and taken away during their 3 hours of work.

With the help of Encorp’s Recycling Hero Community Cleanup Grant, the squadron were able to use some pickup tools for picking up the litter, as well as some pylons and reflective vests to help alert traffic along that busy stretch of road.

When it was all said and done, the squadron also got to enjoy some pizza and popsicles on what was a warn day in May.

We at Encorp congratulate the 333 Lord Beaverbrook Air Cadet Squadron for a job well done and putting the Air Cadets of Canada’s motto in action to help our environment.
