We often receive inquiries about Sort #6. Encorp is thus pleased to provide this new handy visual aid to help redemption centre staff better understand what goes into Sort #6, and avoid common mistakes.
Keep in mind that sorting mistakes often happen with containers that closely resemble HDPE-2 (PIGMENTED) but are actually PET (which is Sort #3.) We hope the helpful tricks outlined in this visual guide to identify HDPE-2 vs. PET are useful to redemption centre staff.
Finally, we wish to remind all redemption centres that as announced this past winter (January 2020), drink pouches should go in Sort #6 bulk bags.
