To all New Brunswick redemption centre(RC) operators,
We have recently received inquiries from consumers about obtaining glass bottles for reuse from RCs (i.e., maple syrup and wine produced at home).
Encorp does support the reuse of glass bottles for non-commercial purposes. Some RC operators have traditionally provided this option, and you are welcome to continue doing so at your discretion. Participation in this practice is entirely optional and can be decided on a case-by-case basis.
If you choose to offer containers for reuse, please ensure these deposit-bearing containers are set aside and deducted from the total count in your bulk bags or tubs. Bulk bag/tub container counts can be adjusted in your EnSys-Connex point-of-sale (POS) system under:
- Inventory – Open Bags – Adjust
OR - Inventory – Closed Bags – Adjust.
