MONCTON, NB – APRIL 20, 2023 – Encorp Atlantic is proud to celebrate Earth Day this week by launching its 4th annual “Be a Recycling Hero!” campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness on reducing litter in outdoor public spaces – especially when it comes to empty beverage containers so easy to reuse and recycle.
Since 2020, this spring/summer campaign from Encorp has encouraged New Brunswickers to become Recycling Heroes by embracing a zero-tolerance policy towards littering, speaking up when they see someone littering, and making sure always to recycle their empty beverage containers.
Watch for Encorp’s anti-litter education ads on recycling bins in tourism destinations, city buses, city bus shelters, outdoor digital billboards, and indoor digital displays in local family-friendly restaurants, convenience stores, shopping malls, and shops in communities across the province. The campaign will also have a strong online presence via social media and web banner ads. Finally, visitors to parks and beaches will be geotargeted to be shown anti-litter ads when browsing on their mobile devices, thus keeping the campaign’s anti-litter and pro-recycling messaging top of mind when enjoying these public spaces.
Full-page advertorials promoting Encorp’s community engagement through public space and special events recycling programs and initiatives will also be published throughout the campaign in l’Acadie Nouvelle, l’Étoile, Telegraph Journal, Times and Transcript, Daily Gleaner, Bugle Observer, Miramichi Leader, Northern Light and Campbellton Tribune. Namely, returning for 2023 are Encorp’s popular Recycling Heroes Community Cleanup Grants, various outdoor festivals and events recycling partnerships throughout the province, and – to be announced in September 2023 – the official launch of a new school recycling program
Encorp Atlantic is a not-for-profit producer responsibility organization that recycles non-refillable deposit-bearing beverage containers on behalf of hundreds of beverage product distributors in New Brunswick. Encorp collects, processes, and recycles over 350 million used beverage containers annually in New Brunswick, ensuring that plastic, glass, aluminum, carton, and other materials needed for packaging beverage products do not end up in landfills or polluting roadways, waterways, and New Brunswick’s beautiful outdoor spaces.
