As the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Beverage Containers Program (BCP) enters its second year, we remind all brand owners of their obligation to submit an annual Independent Verification to Encorp Atlantic.
Per Section 5.1 of the Brand Owner Agreement, brand owners must provide Encorp with an annual independent verification of their sales, collection, and remittance of all applicable fees (deposits and container recycling fees) for beverage containers covered by the New Brunswick Designated Materials Regulation (Clean Environment Act).
This verification is due within 90 days of your fiscal or calendar year-end.
For example, if your fiscal year ended on December 31, 2024, your submission was due by March 31, 2025.
If you missed your submission deadline, fear not: our online form for year-ends up to March 31, 2025, will remain available on our website until the fall. A new form has also been recently added to the website for those with year-ends post-April 2025.
We encourage brand owners to begin the process early. Timely submissions support transparency and the ongoing success of the Program.
