As the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Beverage Container Program has been in effect in Prince Edward Island (PEI) since April 1, 2026, it is now time for PEI producers to report beverage container sales and to remit deposits and container recycling fees (CRFs) to Encorp. Producers can do this by submitting Remittance Reports through our Beverage Industry Portal, which can be accessed at encorpatl.ca/epr.
Producers need to submit their Remittance Report covering the month of April in May. Please submit your Remittance Report for the month of April if you have not already done so.
Once logged in to the Beverage Industry Portal, you will need to enter quantities of deposit-bearing beverage products by container category. The form will automatically apply and calculate the appropriate deposits and CRF amounts and display the total payment you need to remit to Encorp. Once you submit your Remittance Report, you will receive a confirmation email along with an attached invoice.
Please note the following:
- Even if you have no deposit-bearing beverage containers to report for any given reporting period, you will still need to log in and enter “0” in all fields for container categories.
- For producers of alcohol beverage products: You will need to report and remit deposits and CRFs for beverage products manufactured and sold on your premises, as well as those sold to other establishments/retailers for sale in PEI, excluding Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission (PEILCC) and its distribution network. (PEILCC will handle reporting sales and remitting deposits and CRFs to Encorp on your behalf for all your beverage products distributed through its distribution systems, including agency stores.) If ALL your beverage products are exclusively sold in PEI through PEILCC and its distribution systems, you won’t need to complete or submit Remittance Reports to Encorp.
