Encorp is proud to continue to support local cleanups of NB’s beautiful outdoor spaces through our $500 Recycling Hero Community Cleanup Grants. Interest in these grants continues to grow — so much so that this year we awarded more grants than ever before! A total of 40 schools and community groups across NB received funding to help organize a cleanup of their favourite outdoor space. We’ll be sharing success stories from these cleanups on our social media channels in the coming months — follow along to see the impact these Recycling Heroes are making in their communities!
A full list of this year’s grant recipients is available on our website. All participating groups have been instructed to return any deposit-bearing containers they might find while doing the cleanup to their local redemption centre (RC), as well as to sort and recycle or dispose of other littered items found at the appropriate facilities.
As we head into the summer event season, Encorp will also be supporting many community festivals and events across the province by providing free recycling supplies like bins and signage to ensure beverage container recycling in outdoor public spaces. Our event sponsorships will aim to increase awareness of the Beverage Containers Program (BCP) while ensuring empty containers from beverages consumed on site by event attendees do not end up in landfills or as litter.
Watch for success stories and recaps on our social media channels!
