As of January 1, 2026, the New Brunswick (NB) Beverage Containers Program is now operating under the updated Designated Materials Regulation 2024-37. An updated Producer Information Kit has been uploaded to Encorp’s website to reflect the changes made to the Regulation.
As the official producer responsibility organization managing the Extended Producer Responsibility Program in NB, it was Encorp’s responsibility to submit a new stewardship plan aligning with the updated Regulation, covering January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2030, to Recycle NB. This plan was approved in the fall of 2025 and is available to all stakeholders on Encorp’s website.
As a reminder, Encorp updates its container recycling fees (CRFs) each year on April 1. As of October 2025, Encorp confirmed that the CRF rates in effect as of April 1, 2026, will remain unchanged from the current rates. No decrease or increase in CRF rates is planned. You can review the CRF rates in effect at any time on Encorp’s website.
