Encorp Atlantic and Festival Inspire – a public art organization based in Moncton, have joined forces for the creation of beautiful environmental education murals throughout the province
Each spring and summer, Encorp’s “Be a Recycling Hero!” campaign encourages New Brunswickers to step up for the province and its beautiful outdoor spaces by always choosing to recycle instead of discarding or littering with used beverage containers.
Transforming a neglected public space with art is another form of “recycling.” Art makes our public spaces more beautiful and inviting. Space that is cared for in the eyes of the public discourages littering and other practices harmful to the environment and detrimental to our parks, streets, and other public spaces.
Have a wall? Want an environmental-themed mural in your community? Please email lisa.griffin@festivalinspire.com with the subject line RECYCLING HEROES MURAL. Community selection happens on a first-come first serve basis and at the discretion of Festival Inspire and Encorp Atlantic.
Encorp Re-Mobile on Tour with Festival Inspire in 2021
In June and July 2021, Encorp’s Re-Mobile was on tour with Festival Inspire. New Brunswickers were encouraged to visit a mural creation site in their community and drop off some empty beverage containers at the Re-Mobile travelling depot for a special bottle drive fundraiser benefiting local charities in each region of the Inspire New Brunswick 2021 Tour.
