Dear beverage producers,
In October 2025, Encorp Atlantic/Encorp Atlantique (“Encorp”) announced that container recycling fee (CRF) rates in New Brunswick (NB), effective April 1, 2026, will remain unchanged from current rates — no increases or decreases are planned. As the April 1st date approaches, we would simply like to remind you of this update.
*Applies to all beverage containers 5 L and under for products that fit the Designated Materials Regulation’s definition of “beverage.”
Similarly, there are also no anticipated changes to the deposit amounts consumers pay on beverage containers at the point of purchase. Current deposit/refund amounts, which have been in place since April 1, 2024, will remain unchanged.

Encorp Portal Update — Now Including PEI
Producers may note that our Beverage Industry Portal has been recently updated to include reporting tabs for both New Brunswick (NB) and Prince Edward Island (PEI). Once logged in, select the province for which you wish to report.
If you are registered with Encorp in both provinces, you will be required to submit separate reports for each province for all
reporting periods covering April 1, 2026, onwards. Please note that you will not be able to submit a report for PEI until April 2026.
- To support accuracy and ease of use, several visual indicators have been added throughout the reporting process. On each report page, the selected province will be noted along with a provincial flag.
- The confirmation page at the end will also display the province associated with the submitted report. This provides a final opportunity to verify that all information has been filed under the correct province.
- If you discover that you have accidentally submitted a report for the wrong province, please contact us by email at
[email protected]or by calling us at 1-877-389-7320. Including the report reference number provided on the confirmation page will help us resolve the issue more quickly and efficiently.
Note that the deposit amounts and CRF rates for PEI in effect as of April 1st, 2026, for that province’s new EPR Program will be identical to those in NB.
