Devon Middle School’s Grade 8 students have been hard at work making their community in Fredericton cleaner and greener. With Encorp’s support, these Recycling Heroes have undertaken a commendable cleanup project, demonstrating their commitment to environmental responsibility.
Supporting Student-Led Action
Encorp’s Community Cleanup Grant helped Devon Middle School students equip themselves with the necessary resources and gear to facilitate their cleanup efforts. Armed with gloves and enthusiasm, these students took to the walking trail near the school and front field, diligently removing trash, recyclables, and beverage containers on a sunny November day.
Sustaining Momentum for a Greener Future
Their efforts don’t end there. Devon Middle School’s Recycling Heroes are planning to continue their environmental stewardship into the spring, focusing on cleaning up areas near the Wolastoq River. This ongoing commitment reflects their dedication to making a positive impact on their community and the environment.
